William Lieppe, MD
Dr. Lieppe was born and raised in New York. He received his undergraduate degree in History from Yale University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1972. His internal medicine training was at the State University of New York in Syracuse, and he completed a Cardiology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. He then relocated to the Atlanta area and joined the faculty at Emory University before coming to St. Joseph Hospital in 1982.
His primary clinical interest is in cardiac catheterization and coronary intervention. He also implants pacemakers and reads cardiac ultrasound. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and serves on the Board of Trustees for Saint Joseph’s Health System.
Bill is married and has two children (Josh and Alex) who graduated from Woodward Academy and are now at the University of Georgia. He is an avid golfer and enjoys sailing on Lake Lanier.
