Dr. Donald Jansen, MD

Dr. Jansen was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He received both an undergraduate degree and Masters in Public Health degree from the University of Michigan. He graduated from Wayne State Medical School in 1980. Following an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University he completed a Cardiology Fellowship at The University of Texas. After serving on the University of Texas faculty he moved back to Atlanta and joined the St. Joseph staff in 1987, and has been with our group since 2002.

His primary clinical interest is in congestive heart failure and cardiac transplantation. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and serves on numerous committees at St. Joseph’s Hospital, including the Board of Trustees.

Don is married and has two daughters (Laura and Heather) who graduated from Marist High School and now attend the University of Virginia and the University of Georgia. He enjoys travel with his wife Deb who is an avid photographer
