Accepted Insurances

Medicaid Plans

Cardiovascular Specialists, P.C. participates with most insurance plans, with the exception of the three Medicaid managed care contracts, which are:

• WellCare of Georgia
• Peach State Health Plan
• Amerigroup Community Care

If you have one of these Medicaid plans, please contact your insurance company using the telephone number on the insurance card for a complete list of contracted providers. We are not one of them. Should you have Medicaid benefits through the Department of Community Health (Georgia Better Health Care), we are happy to file your claim for you.

Medicare

We will file for Medicare benefits through HMO or Medicare replacement plans. However, we will require a copy of the card issued by the third party insurance company. Your traditional Medicare card will not be appropriate for filing for benefits once your insurance administrator has changed. Please present this card to the front desk at the time of your appointment.

Insurances Claims

In today’s market of health insurance, it is often confusing and diverse with many requirements and regulations to insure payment of your medical claims. At Cardiovascular Specialists, P.C., we strive to reduce the stress related to this process for all involved. As such we are happy to file your insurance claims for you. However, we do ask that you contact your insurance company for a confirmation of network participation.

Physician Referrals

Please be sure to coordinate with your primary care physician for obtaining your referral prior to your visit with us, if applicable. Attempts to obtain referrals while you are in the office may affect your ability to keep your scheduled appointment. As a courtesy to the staff and all patients scheduled, we ask that this is taken care of prior to the day of your appointment. It is our desire to honor each scheduled appointment without delay to the best of our ability. We appreciate your cooperation.

Prerequisites

For your protection, a copy of your drivers license and insurance card will be required at each visit for verification of benefits and identity. We are unable to file your insurance claim for you without an officially issued insurance card presented to us at the time of service. And finally, please be prepared to pay your copayment at the time of service, if applicable. Copayments are a contract provision, and as such, are required by your insurance company to be collected at the time of service, not afterwards. In addition, deductibles and other co-insurance may be collected as required by your insurance company once your claim has been processed.
